The D3 is a usable disc for all skill levels. The high speed rim may be a seem a bit much to handle, but the D3 is much friendlier that it seems. It is a disc that sport a -2 turn, and may turn harder than that in some instances, that allows it to flip up and hold anhyzers. The fade 2 allows the disc not to burn over, and be able to push straight without fading hard. Harder throwers will be able to see many flight patterns out of the D3 that are usable in technical situations. Slower arm throwers will also find the D3 as a max distance crusher and may get turn.
